Holiday Hot Tip: Remember WHY You Love Your Workout

With all the festivities happening from October through December, it can start to feel like non-stop indulgence. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, there are tons of big meals and plenty of treats. No hate—celebrating together with good food and good company is a crucial part of our social lives. But, more food plus less movement can leave you feeling uninspired when it comes to your fitness goals.

We think the easiest way to combat the holiday workout blues and keep you motivated is remembering what you love about your workout routine. Here are three mindful questions to ask yourself when you’re feeling daunted by the gym this season.

How do I feel when I’m actually working out?

Don’t wanna go to the gym today? Feel like you don’t have time to squeeze in an equipment-free workout while you’re visiting family?

Remember: just showing up for a session with your trainer or making it to that early morning class is usually the hardest part.

Once you warm up and start going, you’ll find that sense of strength, power, and energy that comes from working out—especially with the support of the coaches and community at Sweat60

How do I feel when I finish a workout?

Better, right?

Stronger, more confident, energized—the list goes on. Stop getting stuck on what’s hard about hitting a workout during the holidays, and chase that unbeatable feeling of crushing your strength training.

What movement can I incorporate today?

You don’t have to plan your whole holiday around your gym routine (although that’s cool, too). The point is, movement can always fit into your life, no matter what you’re doing.

Visiting family? Catch up with your cousins on a morning walk to get coffee.

Traveling abroad? Don’t worry about lifting heavy while you’re away. Try sight-seeing on foot and get some extra steps in, or try one of our travel-friendly workouts. No equipment or crazy time commitment needed.

Wherever you are, remembering how movement makes you feel is the best way to keep it up through the end of the year. Then you’ll be ready to hit the ground running when you’re back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Spread the love!
